Project “Let me be One of You!”

(Summary)

 

“Youth movement for development of the rural areas in Bulgaria” /YMDRAB/ in partnership with:

–          Association of Specialists in Speech and Language Therapy from Romania;

–          Estonian Logopedists’ Union (www.elu.ee);

–          University of Latvia, Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art (www.ppf.lu.lv);

–          Speech-Language Therapy/Support Center form Lithuania (www.logopedaslpc.lt);

–          Association “Education and development” from Poland;

–          Bulgarian National Association of Logopedists (www.bnal.bg)

will implement a project named „Let me be One of You!”. This is an international training for increasing the capacity of speech and language therapists (SLTs) from Eastern Europe for early intervention in speech and language delay.

The training will be held from 12th to 21st of July, 2013 in the city of Varna, Bulgaria. It will bring together 34 SLTs and experts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria and France.

The training will be conducted by an international trainers team. Through various methods of non-formal education, the experts will increase the participants’ awareness about the essence and applicability of the latest methods for work with young people with communication disorders. During the training the participants will develop their cooperation for innovation and best practices. They will exchange ideas and experiences and will acquire practical skills.

An important part of the training will be presenting of the opportunities offered by „Youth in Action” Programme to the SLTs in Eastern Europe.
